All About Ava

Ava is the latest entry into Philadelphia’s burgeoning BYOB scene. Located in the Society Hill/Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, Ava was opened by brothers Michael and Anthony Campagna in December 2003. Ava is named for Michael’s infant daughter who was born in May 2003. Ava was opened with the intent of falling somewhere between Center City Philadelphia’s fine Italian dining destinations, and the red gravy, checkered tablecloth trattorias of South Philadelphia. At Ava, the use of only the freshest ingredients is an important concept for us. This is why all of our pastas, sausages, sorbetti, and gelatti are made in-house.
